Sofia Boutella (Arabic: صوفيا بوتلة; born 3 April 1982) is an Algerian actress, dancer and model. She is known for her roles in the films Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014), Star Trek Beyond (2016), The Mummy (2017), Climax (2018), Rebel Moon (2023) and Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver (2024).

Sofia Boutella is an Algerian actress, dancer and model. She was born in the Bab El Oued district of Algiers in Algeria, the daughter of composer and jazz musician Safy Boutella, and an architect mother. She started classical dance education when she was five years old.

- She was director Alex Kurtzman’s first and only choice to play The Mummy. “There was nobody else for me,” Kurtzman tells us. “I had seen her in Kingsman — which I love — and what she did as a dancer in the Nike ads, so I knew she obviously had the physicality to play this part.
