Edmund James Cambridge Jr. (September 18, 1920 – August 18, 2001) was an American actor and director who was a founding member of the Negro Ensemble Company (NEC) and the Kilpatrick-Cambridge Theater Arts School.

Ed Cambridge was a theater producer and actor who founded the Cambridge Players and produced James Baldwin's The Amen Corner on Broadway. He also appeared in films such as Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and was the cousin of Godfrey Cambridge.

Edmund Cambridge was an African-American actor, director, stage manager, drama instructor, and producer who achieved success on stage, in film, and in television in a career spanning sixty years. One of the founding members of the Negro Ensemble Company, he directed its first major production, Ceremonies in Dark Old Men , in 1969.
