Gwendoline Alexandra Nelson (30 June 1901 – 15 October 1990) was an English actress who was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Court Theatre Company. [1] Born in Muswell Hill, Middlesex, she originally intended to be a singer, and made her West End musical debut in Tough at the Top at the Adelphi Theatre in July 1949.
Gwen Nelson was an actress who appeared in films such as Doctor Zhivago, A Kind of Loving and National Lampoon's European Vacation. She also had roles in TV shows such as Catweazle, Ruth Rendell Mysteries and Terry and June.
