Georgiy Stepanovich Zhzhonov (Russian: Гео́ргий Степа́нович Жжёнов, IPA: [ɡʲɪˈorɡʲɪj sʲtʲɪˈpanəvʲɪdʑ ˈʐːonəf]; 22 March 1915 – 8 December 2005), was a Soviet and Russian stage and film actor and writer.
Georgi Zhzhyonov was a popular Russian actor who survived 18 years of imprisonment under the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was born Georgi Stepanovich Zhzhonov on March 22, 1915, in St. Petersburg (then Petrograd), Russia.

Soviet spy film directed by Venyamin Dorman [ ru]. [1] It is the first of four films based around the same character, the spy Mikhail Tulyev, played by Georgy Zhzhyonov. The sequel, Secret Agent's Destiny (or Resident's Way) was released in 1970, with Resident Return ( Resident Is Back) in 1982 and End of the Resident Project [ ru] in 1986. [2] [3]

Georgiy Stepanovich Zhzhonov was a Soviet actor and writer. Having matriculated from the Leningrad Circus Tekhnikum in 1932, he appeared in several movies, including the legendary Chapaev. In 1939, Zhzhonov was repressed and spent 15 years in the Siberian GULAG labour camps.
