Famous for his roles on the BBC1 soap operas Eldorado (as Marcus Tandy) and Hollyoaks (as Fraser Black), he is also notable for his portrayal of Nick Beckett in the action and sci-fi series Bugs.
Early in his career, he appeared in a youth cooking show hosted by Nanette Newman and made an uncredited appearance in a 1980 episode of the TV series Minder. His breakthrough role was in the 1984 miniseries Annika.
