Battelle Darby Creek features 7,196 acres of forest, prairies and wetlands. It stretches along 13 miles of the Big and Little Darby creeks, both State and National Scenic Rivers. Besides the areas surrounding the creeks, there are also over 1,600 acres of restored wetlands and prairies.

Big Darby Creek is one of the premier kayaking destinations in Ohio and probably in the Eastern United States. It has the distinction of being a National Scenic River. Big Darby Creek is home to a massive array of fish and other wildlife.
