Clare Cooney. Actress: Runner. Clare Mairéad Cooney is an actor and filmmaker. Originally from Detroit, Clare attended the University of Notre Dame and spent a year abroad at Trinity College, Dublin. Clare graduated with honors in Psychology and Film, Television & Theater and went on to Chicago to attend the prestigious School at Steppenwolf.
Clare won the award for Outstanding Performance in the short film BIRD OF PREY at Sidewalk Film Festival. The short is directed by Sundance/ SXSW director Marion Hill. Clare appeared as a supporting role in WIDOWS opposite Elizabeth Debicki
Clare Cooney is a SAG actor and filmmaker currently living in Los Angeles. In August she made her directorial feature debut Departing Seniors, which she also produced. The film will be released in 2023.
