The Central Park Zoo is a 6.5-acre (2.6 ha) zoo located at the southeast corner of Central Park in New York City. It is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).
The Zoo was updated and expanded in 1988. The Central Park Zoo, managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society, is home to a range of animals including sea lions, snow leopards, and exotic birds.
Managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Central Park Zoo is designed to recreate each animal’s natural environment. Located on the east side of Central Park between 63rd and 66th Streets, the Central Park Zoo offers a unique and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
Located in Central Park the zoo is a breath of fresh air! It’s not too expensive to enter I think it was about $13 maybe? There are quite a lot of animals, birds, lizards, penguins and much more to see!
Very cute and peaceful little zoo in the heart of Central Park. Unfortunately when we visited the lights in the penguin enclosure were broken so they were swimming in the dark and the bear enclosure was shut down for the day to have maintenance work done.
