Takashi Nishimoto (西本 聖, Nishimoto Takashi, born June 27, 1956) is a Japanese baseball coach and retired pitcher. He played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants, Chunichi Dragons, and Orix Blue Wave from 1976 through 1993. In 1981, Nishimoto won the Eiji Sawamura Award.
西本 聖 （にしもと たかし、 1956年 6月27日 - ）は、 愛媛県 松山市 出身の元 プロ野球選手 （ 投手 ）・ 野球解説者 、プロ野球指導者。 江川卓 と共にエースとして 巨人 の一時代を築き、巨人退団後は 中日 、 オリックス でもプレーした。 選手生活晩年に巨人へ復帰して引退。 エース級としての活躍に加え、 星飛雄馬 ばりの左足を高く上げるダイナミックな投球フォームでも人気があった [1] 。 また投手最多タイ記録となる ゴールデングラブ賞 を8回受賞している。 引退後は野球解説者を務めていたが、2003年には 阪神 の一軍投手コーチを務めた。
