Sa reprezentacijom Jugoslavije osvojio je četiri Evropska prvenstva i srebrnu medalju na Olimpijskim igrama 1996. Proglašen je za evropskog igrača godine 1995. i najkorisnijeg igrača italijanskog prvenstva 1998 .
