A tall athletic versatile player, Daniel McStay was recruited from the Easter Rangers by the Brisbane Lions in the 2013 draft at pick number no. 25 , making his debut in Round 15 of the following year. McStay enjoyed one of his most consistent years to date in 2019, playing all 24 games.
