Dame Denise Rosemarie Lewis DBE (born 27 August 1972) is a British sports presenter, sports administrator and former track and field athlete, who specialised in the heptathlon.
Olympic Results. Biography. Although she began competing in the heptathlon in 1989, it was not until 1994 that Denise Lewis emerged onto world stage. During the course of the season she added 500 points onto her personal best and scored an upset victory over Jane Flemming at the Commonwealth Games.

Today marks 26 years since Denise Lewis, Commonwealth Games England’s current president, won gold in the heptathlon in her first major championships. Denise Lewis is a British heptathlete and long jumper who won gold and bronze medals at the 2000 and 1996 Olympics, respectively. She is also a former world silver medallist, European champion, Commonwealth Games champion and a member of the British nobility.
