Linacre College is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in the UK whose members comprise approximately 50 fellows and 550 postgraduate students.
About the college. Linacre is a graduate college with a strong environmental and egalitarian ethos. The student community comes from more than 80 different nations and most are new to Oxford.
As a graduate college, Linacre welcomes students and fellows from all over the world to study in every department of the University of Oxford. The College was established more than sixty years ago to look after the needs of post-graduate students better.
Linacre is a graduate College of the University of Oxford with a lively, friendly, academic and social community. Founded in 1962, it consists of over 50 Fellows, 24 Junior Research Fellows and 400 students.
The college was a deliberate experiment to see whether the needs of international graduate students could be better met by a new type of society – the first co-educational, international, all-age, all-subject graduate college.
