Revaz "Rezo" Chkheidze (Georgian: რევაზ "რეზო" ჩხეიძე; 8 December 1926 – 3 May 2015) was a Georgian film director, People's Artist of the USSR, best known for his Soviet-era drama films, including his 1964 World War II-themed Father of a Soldier.

Father of a Soldier ( Georgian: ჯარისკაცის მამა translit. jariskats'is mama, Russian: Отец солдата, romanized : Otets soldata) is a 1964 Georgian -Russian black-and-white World War II -themed drama film directed by Revaz Chkheidze based on a script by Suliko Jgenti. The leading role was played by Sergo Zakariadze.
