P.A.R.T.S. - Performing Arts Research and Training Studios is an international school for contemporary dance that is located in Vorst, one of the 19 municipalities located in the Brussels -Capital Region of Belgium.
Alexander Vantournhout (Brussels-based, 1989) studied contemporary dance at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts and Research Training Studios), the school founded by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, and single wheel, juggling and dance acrobatics at ESAC (Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque).
STUDIOS IS A TWO-YEAR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM THAT FOCUSES ON ASPIRING DANCE-MAKERS AND CHOREOGRAPHERS WITH A STRONG INTEREST IN MOVEMENT AND RESEARCH WHO INTEND TO DEVELOP THEIR CREATIVE VOICE AND PRACTICE, IN A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT IS COMMUNAL AND COLLABORATIVE.
Jan 23, 2024 · Nearly three decades after its creation in Brussels by Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, P.A.R.T.S. – which stands for Performing Arts Research and Training Studios – is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious dance training programs in the world.
Feb 9, 2020 · The continuing cycle 'Studios' targets young choreographers and performance makers and focuses for two years on the development of an independent artistic practice. The programme currently has 14 participants, and was recognised by the Flemish government as a Master in Dance in July 2020.
In 1995, Rosas and De Munt/La Monnaie initiated the founding of the dance school P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios). Under the direction of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Theo Van Rompay P.A.R.T.S. rapidly developed into an innovative, internationally renowned school.
