Hallandale Beach (formerly known simply as Hallandale) is a city in southern Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is named after Luther Halland, the son of a Swedish worker for Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad. [5] It is also part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida.

- Gulfstream Park. Long known as the home of thoroughbred horse racing in South Florida, Gulfstream Park first opened its doors in 1939. There’s a host of races throughout the year, some which go back to the 1940s.
- South City Beach Park. One of two public beach access points in Hallandale Beach, this park was given a complete facelift in the 2010s. South City Beach Park is a fabulous community space, with a beachfront concession (Café Cita on the Beach), playground, open-air pavilion, showers, restrooms, bocce ball and volleyball courts.

Just a year ago an run-down space in Hallandale Beach opened up, totally reformed with wide grassy spaces as well as a moder play area for kids and exercise apparatus for adults (two areas to walk and play your dog is also included).
