To Bed or Not to Bed (Italian: Il diavolo, also known as The Devil) is a 1963 black-and-white Italian film directed by Gian Luigi Polidoro. It tells the story of an Italian merchant and his experiences during a visit to Sweden.
In this comedy, Alberto Sordi, the great Italian actor, plays the part of an apparently dull Italian fur merchant who has to go to Stockholm to buy furs. His faithful, but somewhat dowdy wife, plus the kids, bid him goodbye. His rail journey stretched on interminably.
