Kipps (US title The Remarkable Mr. Kipps) is a 1941 British comedy-drama film adaptation of H. G. Wells's 1905 novel of the same name. The film was directed by Carol Reed and stars Michael Redgrave as a draper's assistant who inherits a large fortune. The film's costumes were designed by Cecil Beaton.

Michael Redgrave is "Mr. Kipps", a lowly draper's assistant who struggles to better himself until, that is, he inherits a house and £25,000 from his grandfather, of whom he has never heard and everything now seems possible.
This film restores faith in the existence of young people with pure hearts like Kipps, who are innocent, decent, and deserving of our hope. There are also girls like Ann who are willing to face any challenges with their loved one and are unafraid of them.
