- A-Ma Temple. Highlights: The oldest Taoist temple in Macau, amazing sculptures, wonderful view from the top. Dedicated to the goddess Matsu, the splendid A-Ma Temple (Templo de A-Má) was built on the Macau Peninsula in 1488 and was the inspiration for the renaming of the city by the Portuguese a few decades later.
- Fortaleza do Monte: Home of the Macau Museum. Highlights: Wonderful views, a 16th-century fort that's fun to explore, a museum showcasing Macau's past.
