Strangers in Love is a strict-formula picture with no surprises within its plot. As the movie unfolds, so does the end before the final reel even begins. But unlike other predictable old movies, Strangers in Love is a title which never fails to entertain.
Kay Francis and Fredric March are "Strangers in Love" in this 1932 film. Kay is Diana Merrow, who reluctantly works for Arthur Drake (March), an expert in Egyptian artifacts. Not only does he sexually harass her, but he's mean and stingy.

Kay Francis plays the secretary caught between her loathing for the former (for allegedly stealing her father's fortune) and her love for the latter (her childhood crush). March and Francis utilize their reliable personas well and have an easy chemistry in a fun, if tonally-inconsistent, dramedy.
