Sep 27, 1998 · An adult's memoir of a childhood spent with his mother and two sisters in Australia in the closing year of WWII. While his father off fighting the Japanese, two Italian prisoners of war are assigned to help out on the family's estate. Later they are joined by two German refugee women.

15 Amore Louise Keller: Maurice Murphy's passionate, wonderful tale of an upside down world at a time when the world is in chaos, is an acutely moving observation from the point of view of a young boy.
This delightful film set in the 2nd World War is based on a true story. While it was made in 1998 it wasn't released into Australian cinemas until 2000. Why it was left this long will always be a mystery to me.
