Here they outwit Hooper Atchley and perennial western henchmen Yakima Canutt, George Chesebro and others who are trying to bankrupt the cattlemen, the Cattleman's Association and close the orphanage the association funds. The love interest and manager of the orphanage is lovely Christine Maple.
In between the sweet parts there is enough fighting, shooting, ambushes and riding for action and excitement. Hackett (Hooper Atchley) is out to take over the Cattlemen's Association by bankrupting them. His men rustle the cattle forcing the payouts to the ranchers....
