27 Down is the story of Sanjay and how all his lifes decisions, choices, hopes and aspirations are crushed under the dogmatic influence of his domineering father. Sanjay gets a chance at life to at once not heed his father and choose a life of his own, but he lets it pass.
Sanjay wanted to study art, but his domineering father, an engine-driver in retirement after a crippling injury, insisted that a railway job, with its security, was the best thing for him.
