Mar 1, 2002 · At home, there is a problem when his son, Andrea (Giuseppe Sanfelice), is accused of having stolen a fossil from the school science lab. He denies the charge. Giovanni and his wife, Paola (Laura Morante), get involved, visit the parents of his son's accuser.
The Son's Room is a well-acted, respectable drama. It is quiet and understated, examining a family as it deals with grief. The lead feels unable to move forward in his life, which is ironic as he works as a psychiatrist, dealing with the problems of others. Nobody is immune from mental hardship.
