Jan 9, 2006 · Overview. 1959, support from US troops based in Asia and later from the Sates enables two actresses to start a charity for mixed-race 'orphans' who are locally neglected as outcasts. Thus originates Childhelp, which later runs multi-disciplinary centers for abused and/or neglected children in the States.
A 2006 drama film that depicts the origins of Childhelp USA, a nonprofit for abused children, through flashbacks from the 1960s. Two actresses, inspired by a trip to Japan, start the organization and face challenges and triumphs along the way.
The true story of Nobel Prize nominees Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, founders of Childhelp USA, an organization that rescues abused and abandoned children throughout the world.
