Grock is a 1931 German drama film directed by Carl Boese and starring Grock, Liane Haid, and Betty Bird. Grock, a famous circus performer, appears as himself. The film's sets were designed by the art director Robert Neppach. A separate French-language version was also released.
After a thirty-year career on international variety stages, the famous clown Grock retires, marries and buys a villa on the Mediterranean. But Grock remains a clown and is so immersed in the work on his new home that his young wife is soon reunited with her former lover.

Actor: Grock. Karl Adrien Wettach, one of the most famous clowns of the first half of the 20th century, was born on Jan 10, 1880 in Reconvilier in the Swiss Canton of Bern. His watchmaker father was an amateur musician and acrobat, and he taught the young Karl the basics of music and tumbling.
