The Saint in Palm Springs is a crime melodrama released by RKO Pictures in early 1941. The film continued the screen adventures of the Robin Hood-inspired anti-hero, Simon Templar, alias "The Saint", created by Leslie Charteris.
Simon Templar, the debonair sleuth known as "The Saint," becomes involved in murder in the desert resort of Palm Springs. When Templar's (George Sanders) friend New York City police inspector Henry Fernack (Jonathan Hale) asks him to act as bodyguard for Peter Johnson, the brother of an old friend, who is carrying three rare, valuable stamps.
Three murders and one kidnapping attempt later, the villains are foiled by the Saint, with the aid of his onetime partner in crime Pearly Gates (Paul Guilfoyle). The Saint in Palm Springs is the sixth in RKO's series of films based on the character created by Leslie Charteris.
