Aug 9, 1985 · Saagar: Directed by Ramesh Sippy. With Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan, Dimple Kapadia, Nadira. Raja, a fisherman is secretly in love with Mona. When wealthy Ravi comes to live with his grandmother, Kamladevi, he sees Mona and falls in love with her. Mona also reciprocates his love.
Raja (Kamal Haasan), who lives close by, is a good friend & a fisherman. He is in love with her but is unable to profess his feelings. Raja is waiting to earn enough money, so he can buy his own boat and can provide the luxuries of life to Mona. Thekedaar (Goga Kapoor) is the owner of the docks & the boats.
Synopsis. Raja, a fisherman is secretly in love with Mona. When wealthy Ravi comes to live with his grandmother, Kamladevi, he sees Mona and falls in love with her. Mona also reciprocates his love. Raja is devastated by this turn of events.
