When Tommy discovers he has a long-lost daughter named Tulsa (Livi Birch), he reluctantly welcomes the nine year-old into his home, but tries to keep her out of his heart. The head-strong little girl attempts to use her strong faith to save Tommy from his addictions and the demons of his past.
Summaries. Arriving in town, Tom Benton quickly teams up with Wallace in his fight with Saunders over a water hole. But Saunders chief henchman is Montana Smith, Tom's old partner and the man that taught him how to shoot. Tom no longer carries a gun but when Wallace gets into trouble, he straps it on once again and goes to face Montana.
Screenplay. A protegee of notorious outlaw Montana (Beery), young Tom Benton decides to stay on the good side of the Law upon reaching maturity. Montana, however, has no such inclination to reform, the result being a climactic gun duel between the ageing gunman and his former pupil.
The aging Smith was once Benton's mentor and tutored him to become the outlaw "The Tulsa Kid" before Benton became a peaceful rancher. But now master and pupil are on a deadly collision course.
