Le domino noir (The Black Domino) is an opéra comique by the French composer Daniel Auber, first performed on 2 December 1837 by the Opéra-Comique at the Salle de la Bourse in Paris. The libretto to the three-act piece is by Auber's usual collaborator, Eugène Scribe.

The Black Domino. ACT ONE. Horace, a young Spanish nobleman, is attending the queen's masked ball in the hope of meeting the young woman he encountered a year earlier, but whose identity he never discovered. She is Angèle, a niece of the queen, who arrives with her companion Brigitte.
A young man finds himself at loggerheads with his friend after he has tried to kiss his wife and at the same time turns out to be a common thief. When they meet again several years later, the villain has become a member of the crime gang called The Black Domino.
