A film about the German terrorist group RAF, which carried out bombings, robberies, kidnappings, and assassinations in the 1970s. The plot follows the radicalization, activities, and capture of the RAF leaders, such as Baader, Meinhof, and Ensslin, and their conflict with the German police and establishment.
The Baader-Meinhof Complex was first published in 1985, eight years after the suicides in Stamrnheim prison. From my work first at konkret and later for television I had known some of the characters in the drama personally.
