Bambi II (also known as Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest) is a 2006 American animated drama film directed by Brian Pimental and produced by the Australian office of Disneytoon Studios as a followup to the 1942 film Bambi.
Bambi II is a direct-to-video Disney animated feature that was released on February 7, 2006. The film is a midquel, and the story takes place in the middle of Bambi, between the event in which Bambi loses his mother to Man, and the event in which he grows into a buck.
Bambi II is a sequel to the 1942 classic Bambi, following the young deer's journey of growing up and becoming a prince in the forest. The film features the voices of Patrick Stewart, Alexander Gould, and Alison Krauss, and explores themes of courage, loss, and friendship.
