Night Mail is widely considered a masterpiece of the British Documentary Film Movement. A sequel was released in 1987, entitled Night Mail 2.
Night Mail II maintained the momentum and pace of the original Night Mail with aerial shots of the North East TPO (Travelling Post Office) with the new 'Royal Mail Letters' red and yellow livery with corporate typeface.
An updated version of the classic 1936 "Night Mail", this time using an aeroplanes and vans as well as trains, and with poetry by Blake Morrison.
