New York City based private investigator Bradford Galt believes that he's being followed by a man in a white suit. Brad learns directly from the white suited figure that the person who hired him to follow Brad is Tony Jardine, Brad's old business partner from San Francisco.
The Dark Corner is full of deep, velvety blacks and hard shadows which create wonderful menace and make otherwise ordinary scenes stunning. From one scene to the next, it's a beautiful-looking movie (which thankfully has received an excellent transfer onto DVD).
Dauntingly atmospheric, smoothly executed through a gripping throughline of looming shadows, weary spirits, surrounded by intrigues and scams being the reason behind doomed existences; Henry Hathaway’s The Dark Corner is as classy Noir a fan would expect to enjoy.
