The Mystery of the 13th Guest is a 1943 American crime/mystery film directed by William Beaudine and released by Monogram Pictures. It is based on Armitage Trail's 1929 novel The 13th Guest and is an updated version of the 1932 film The Thirteenth Guest.

Monogram's eventual remake, The Mystery of the 13th Guest (1943), remains largely faithful to the source novel and to Monogram's original, replete as it with assorted comings and goings (some fatal) through the shadowy corridors and dimly-lighted rooms of a spooky mansion.

Jul 16, 2021 · This is a remake of the 1932 movie with Lyle Talbot and Girger Rogers called "The 13th Guest" which can be found here at the archive,. It may be plotted more closely to the book, I don’t know, but It’s not a good film.
