Chic (stylized CHIC; / ʃ iː k / SHEEK), currently called Nile Rodgers & Chic, is an American disco band that was formed in 1972 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards.
Following Chic's breakup, Rodgers released his first solo album, Adventures in the Land of the Good Groove. With Chic no longer occupying most of his time, Rodgers was free to focus on working with other artists.
