Zeenat Begum (born Shamim Akhtar; 11 November 1931 – 11 December 2007), sometimes known as Zeenat, was a Pakistani singer. She was known as The Queen of Yesteryear for singing songs in films and on radio.
Zeenat Begum was born on 11 November 1931 in Malerkotla, Punjab, British India. She was an actress and director, known for Heer (1955), Ayaz (1960) and Khul Ja Sim Sim (1959). She was married to Saqlain Rizvi and Abdul Jabbar. She died on 11 December 2007 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
