Paul Frank Martinez (6 October 1947 – February 2024) was an English session musician and songwriter. Born in Leicester, England, Martinez was best known for his work with Robert Plant, Cat Stevens, Jackie Edwards, Dave Edmunds, George Harrison, Maggie Bell, Vasco Rossi, Peter Gabriel, Chicken Shack, and The Adverts, among others.
Monmouth’s Paul Martinez, who died earlier this month, was a well known session musician at Rockfield Studios and beyond, and spent much of the 1980s in the rock spotlight, playing in the former Zeppelin singer’s band and touring the world when Plant lived in Penallt.
