Gerhard Höllerich (25 January 1943 – 9 October 1991), known professionally as Roy Black, was a German schlager singer and actor, who appeared in several musical comedies and starred in the 1989 TV series, Ein Schloß am Wörthersee.
Roy Black (* 25. Januar 1943 in Straßberg bei Augsburg; † 9. Oktober 1991 in Heldenstein bei Mühldorf am Inn; bürgerlich Gerhard Höllerich) war ein deutscher Schlagersänger und Schauspieler, der in mehreren deutschen Musikfilmen und in der Fernsehserie Ein Schloß am Wörthersee mitwirkte.
On 09 October1991 Roy Black died at the age of only 48 years alone in his remote cabin in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf, where his brother found him. The cause of death was determined as heart failure, however, he allegedly also had an alcohol level of three per mille in the blood and rumors persist that he committed suicide.
