Pierina Ana Sanchez (born June 10, 1988) is an American politician from the Bronx, New York City. Since 2022, Sanchez has represented the 14th district on the New York City Council, encompassing Kingsbridge, Fordham, University Heights, and Tremont. [1]

Pierina Sanchez was born in New York, New York. She earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 2010 and a graduate degree from Princeton University in 2014.
Most recently, Pierina was a Senior Advisor for Housing, Economic Development and Labor in City Hall, where she advocated for progressive housing, economic development and land use policies, and resources for NYCHA.
