Wang Chongyang (11 January 1113 – 22 January 1170; Chinese calendar: 22nd day, 12th month, 2nd year, Zhenghe era in the reign of Emperor Huizong of Song - 4th day, 1st month, 10th year, Dading era in the reign of Emperor Shizong of Jin) was a Chinese philosopher and poet.
Central Divinity Wang Chongyang (Traditional Chinese: 王重陽; Simplified Chinese: 王重阳; pinyin: Wáng Chóngyáng) was a Song Dynasty Taoist who founded the Quanzhen School in the twelfth century. He is one of the Original Five Greats of Wulin in the Condor Trilogy.
Wang Chongyang was a Chinese philosopher and poet. He was a Taoist master and one of the founders of the Quanzhen School in the 12th century during the Jin dynasty (1115–1234). He was one of the Five Northern Patriarchs of Quanzhen. He also appears as a character in works of wuxia fiction.

Aug 19, 2019 · Wang Chong Yang [王重阳] was the disciple of Zhong Li Quan [钟离权], also referred to as Upright Yang [zheng yang 正阳] and Lü Dong Bin, also called Pure Yang [chun yang 纯阳]. Both teachers’ appellations contain Yang [阳] in their titles, thus, Wang Chong Yang was known by the name of Double Yang [chong yang 重阳].
Wang Chongyang was the founder of the Northern Lineage (Beizong) of Neidan. Also known as Wang Zhe, he apparently led a rather turbulent life until 1159, when he is said to have met Zhongli Quan and Lü Dongbin and to have become an ascetic.
