Sandown Bay Academy, formerly Sandown High School, was an academy status secondary school located in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, England. From 2012 to 31 August 2018 it was sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust. On 31 August 2018, the academy was closed.
At KS5 our curriculum is designed to enable students to choose to study a range of subjects at A-Level or Level 3 vocational courses. Full qualifications are usually achieved after two years and students choose four subjects to study at the start of Year 12.

Apr 30, 2023 · Ministerial approval to close Sandown Bay Academy enabled plans to extend The Bay CE Primary to become an all through school from 1 September 2018 catering for students aged 4-16. Sandown Bay Academy was one of six secondary schools on the Isle of Wight and was run as an Academy, by a privately held company, AET.
We want all the children who come to The Bay to enjoy their learning and to become thoughtful, articulate, confident and responsible members of society. Our personalised curriculum is enhanced by numerous extra-curricular opportunities, community and charity, working towards national and international competitions and a thriving House System.
