The Teacher Growth Model (TGM) serves as the roadmap for Singapore teachers to plan their professional learning journey, based on both their interests and needs, as they aspire and grow to deliver the five Teacher Outcomes over the span of their career.
The answer, according to Singapore educators, is simple: a coherent curriculum delivered to every school by high-quality teachers. Recognizing that it had few other resources, Singapore’s policymakers decided early on to invest in their human resources and to dream, design and deliver a solid education to every child.
The Teacher Leaders Programme (TLP) is a suite of three milestone programmes designed by the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST) in collaboration with the National Institute of Education (NIE), to support the professional growth of our Senior Teachers (STs), Lead Teachers (LTs) and Master Teachers (MTTs).
