Hawkeye, the Pathfinder. America, 1750. At the height of the Franco-British War of Empire, Mabel Dunham sets out with a small party to join her father in the British fort by Lake Ontario. But before the journey is over, she is helped by Hawkeye, the Pathfinder.
Premiering on Sunday 18 November 1973, this classic serial from the BBC – a follow-up to The Last of the Mohicans made by the same production team in 1971 – remained faithful to James Fenimore Cooper’s original novel, The Pathfinder.
