The University of Kansas (KU) is a public and research university with its main campus in Lawrence, Kansas, United States. Two branch campuses are in the Kansas City metropolitan area on the Kansas side: the university's medical school and hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, the Edwards Campus in Overland Park.
KU has global reach with a Kansas focus. Our main campus overlooks the historic city of Lawrence. The Edwards Campus and KU Medical Center serve Kansas City communities. Satellite campuses in Wichita and Salina support Jayhawks pursuing medical professions.
