Abraham Brueghel (baptised 28 November 1631 – c. 1690) was a Flemish painter from the famous Brueghel family of artists. He emigrated at a young age to Italy where he played an important role in the development of the style of decorative Baroque still lifes.
The exceptions are the son of Jan Breughel the Younger, the amazing still-life painter Abraham Breughel (1631-1697), and the highly accomplished David Teniers the Younger (1610-1690), who joined the dynasty by marrying one of Jan Brueghel the Elder’s daughters.
Abraham Brueghel was born in Antwerp in 1631, the second son of Jan Brueghel the Younger and Anna Maria Jannsens. Abraham was the only significant painter from the fourth generation of the Brueghel dynasty of painters.

Biography Abraham brueghel, also known as “Rhyngraef” and “Neapolitaner”, was a painter of landscapes and still lifes of fruit and flowers. Son of Jan Brueghel II. He is known to have travelled to Italy in 1649, where he entered the service of the Sicilian prince Antonio Ruffo.
