Aiko Miyawaki (宮脇 愛子, Miyawaki Aiko, 20 September 1929 – 20 August 2014) was a Japanese sculptor and painter. She was best known for her sculpture series titled Utsurohi , installed at public spaces worldwide.
Aiko Miyawaki was born in 1929, Tokyo. She graduated from Japan Women's University in 1952 and lived and worked as a painter in Europe and North America 1957-1966. In 1962 Miyawaki was invited to Paris by French dealer André Schoeller.
The work of Aiko Miyawaki, like many Japanese avant-garde artists, was inspired by Minimalism, Conceptualism, and East Asian philosophy and aesthetics. Beginning her career as a painter in the late 1950s, Miyawaki spent the following decade in Los Angeles, Milan, Paris, and New York.

Born in 1929 in Tokyo, Aiko Miyawaki lives and works there quietly, discreetly, and efficaciously. Originally a painter, since 1966 she has devoted herself to sculpture, although she still draws a good deal as well.
