Archie Goodwin (September 8, 1937 – March 1, 1998) was an American comic book writer, editor, and artist. He worked on a number of comic strips in addition to comic books, and is known for his Warren and Marvel Comics work.
What follows is the final interview that Archie Goodwin gave before he passed away on March 1, 1998. It was conducted via telephone on February 20, 1998, while Archie was preparing to leave on what became his last day in the DC offices.
Archie Goodwin was an American comic book writter and editor. At first he worked as an artist drawing newspaper comic strips. His career started when he first wrote for Warren Publishing on the Creepy series. He became the main writter at Warren and later became the editor.

Goodwin and artist George Tuska co-created the super villain, the Controller, in Iron Man #12 (April 1969). Luke Cage, the first African American superhero to star in an eponymous Marvel comic book series, was created by Goodwin and artist John Romita Sr. in June 1972.
