Edward Durell Stone (March 9, 1902 – August 6, 1978) was an American architect known for the formal, highly decorative buildings he designed in the 1950s and 1960s.
His eldest son, the late Edward Durell Stone, Jr., was the founder and chairman of EDSA, a planning, landscape architecture, and urban design firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Stone's youngest son, Hicks Stone, is a practicing architect whose firm, Stone Architecture, LLC, is based in New York City.
