Hubert Bland (3 January 1855 – 14 April 1914) was an English author. He was known for being an infamous libertine, a journalist, an early English socialist, and one of the founders of the Fabian Society. He was the husband of Edith Nesbit.
Hubert Bland, youngest of the four children of Henry Bland, a successful commercial clerk, was born in Woolwich, London, on 3rd January, 1855. He was educated at various local schools, and from an early age showed a strong interest in politics.

Hubert Bland and Edith Nesbit married in 1880. They worked together on a novel The Prophet's Mantle published in 1885. This was their only joint book but Hubert went on to become a book reviewer, founder member, together with Edith, of the Fabian Society and 'Hubert' of the Manchester Sunday Chronicle .
